About pages are always a little awkward, right? This one is no exception.
I’ve been practicing yoga regularly since 2007 and became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher in 2019 (Glow Yoga). I have additional training in accessible yoga (Yoga for All with Dianne Body and Amber Karnes), prenatal yoga (Blue Point Yoga), and restorative and yin yoga (Glow Yoga).
I believe that yoga and intersectional social justice are inextricably linked and this is at the heart of my personal practice and my teaching. I believe that yoga should be accessible in every way and I am trying my best to be an inclusive and accessibly yoga teacher. I strive to continue to learn how I can do better for this sacred practice and for my students.
I am also working toward becoming a lactation consultant and ultimately I want to move into yoga therapy so that I can use my training to support pregnant and postpartum parents and families.
I’m originally from Long Island and I still have an accent. I’ve been told I curse like a sailor and it’s not a lie. I have a spirited preschooler, an anxious dog, several rescue cats, and a brood of chickens.
